High in the sky
Spinning round and round
The odds are even
When it hits the ground

Heads you win
Tails you lose
The rules are simple
You just have to choose

Now nobody picked
Double ought green
So when it landed on edge
It caused quite a scene

With no victor declared
No one knew what to do
Some one cried "Call it a draw"
They just flipped it anew

Very interesting perspective to an old cliche Sir Andrew. Well written as well.

There is so much philosophy that can come from this little poem but I won't torture you all with the agony of my thought. I shall just flip anew to the next poem. Excellent in form and content, as always, Andrew.

Interesting. A new view for me to ponder. Thank you for this thought provoking piece.

Thank you Lady Marilyn, glad you found it such.
Michael, feel free to throw your philo about anytime. But I agree... there is alot to be read into this.

Hehe - liked this. Although it is deep, I had to laugh as I imagined stunned expressions on the faces of the flippers!

Severn: Ya, I know what you mean... makes me laugh too. I always sort of invision two football teams at the beginning of the superbowl, ready to wage war on one another, when this happens. Imagine the war there would be if they did call it a draw.

This gave me a chuckle! I'm too tired right now to wax philosophical, though...in fact I'm always too tired for that! Great poem, Andrew! It is great to have you back!

Lady D and Hoot: Thanks for looking in. Always a pleasure to see your marks.

RobertB: The Flipper was North... Flippee was South... and Heads? I understand it was facing East. Tails was in the West of course where all the cheer leaders were. It figures.
