DREAM

Where has she gone, my dream in white?
That star upon my endless night.
Who touched me while I lay broken,
With healing smile and love unspoken.
Saw past the guise and through the wall,
With deep brown eyes that caught my fall.
Then cradled me in arms, held tight,
Till misery turned to delight.

Who formed new hope from dreams of dust,
Taught me to cope, dared me to trust.
From darkest grief, deepest sorrow,
Gave me belief in tomorrow.
The reason why today I stand,
If but with sigh, minus her hand.
Ever to wait in silent scream
To meet my fate, or wake from dream.

Well, my fate came home last night, whew! I wasn't dreaming after all...LOL Forgive me for posting this anyway.

Don't be sorry for posting this! She came home just in time, for you had us in tears again. Phew! hehe...glad she's home, maybe you'll rest a little easier.

Michael, I like sad poems with happy endings. So of course, I love this one.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow just a mystery. And if today is good to me how could I ask for more?

Thank God! This was really getting me down Michael....Give her big hugs for me.

Hey there you sexy thing - hehe
You said a lot in this poem - very moving. You brought up many of our truths...our "lines"....
And you are not dreaming....I am here, as I said I would be. Feels good to be back online...missed this place and all of the poetry, especially these from you dear. **kisses And like someone else said, no need to apologize for posting this....it's beautiful....thank you. Every word you write for me means more than you'll ever be able to imagine.
