Somnolent Delight

Nightly falls
your name
Beloved
upon my lips
A plea to feel
your presence
beneath
my fingertips

Eyes of mine
close
in
sleep
to bring yours
open wide
that I may fall
into
those
depths
and know
the truth inside

By deeper turn
of slumber
silk caress my
skin be graced
Enveloped in
your arms
Lullaby'd
by sweet embrace

Kisses drop like stars'
Soft
Light…

Lavishing

Somnolent Delight

Caroline - you have to stop being this good! JK - carry on - your poems are one of my chief delights here at netpoets. This is like a hushful breeze to my ears.

Mmmmm. Deep joy, not too sure if I like the way you have laid the poem out, but the words you use Mmmmmm much joy.

Thank you all for your response...this piece has been revised, once by a good friend, and once into a sonnet. You are invited to cast your vote...LOL
