you opened the window
You opened my mind
You seemed so very kind
you opened the door to my heart
when i was alone in the dark
I felt so alive, I knew my life was going to be allright.
I closed my eyes and I took a deep breath.
I wasent scared of the bright light
You had my whole life in your hands.
You held me close
You held me tight
I knew my life was going to be allright
I closed my eyes and you took my hand .
You lead me along like i was blind.
One day you took me to this place and left me there. You told me you would be right back.
I looked for you all around but you left without a trace.
I sat back on the bench were you left me to sit.
I sat there for hours waiting, thinking, searching, maybe even wishing for you to appear.
Then I took my blind fold off and squinted my eyes at the bright sun.
and left without a trace.

Interesting poem, shantell. Blindfolds that we put on ourself are the worst kind. But blindfolds can be removed.
