Autumn Leaves ... Falling
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

Tumultuously cascading.
Falling to the ground.
I try, but I can't catch them,
they're falling all around.

Blowing cross the meadow.
Swirling in the streets.
The colors of Autumn
laying at my feet.

Technicolor dancers
on their merry way.
The changing of the leaves
have come into play.

A palette of colors for Autumn,
to paint the leaves of Fall,
returning in the Spring ...
the grandest shades of green.

This slipped away and it is so beautiful that it shouldn't have.

Severn -
Thanks for bringing this one back to the top of the pile. I did forget to mention that I've sure had to rake up a lot of those lovely Autumn leaves. I thought of this poem with each pull of the rake !

Alwye - It passes quickly, but leaves such beautiful images.

Denise - Must have been out raking when you posted this reply.  Thank you, my friend.

Ah, de-leaving is such sweet sorrow!

Yes, Autumn is such a beautiful time of year. The trees are such warm, wonderful splashes of color. Nice thoughts, Marge.
