The final word was long foretold
and just as quickly tossed aside
just as any tale grows old
So did our fatal fears subside

Who could have ever seen it clear
and how we were so very wrong
and as the Armageddon neared
the night became forever long

no godly power to limit pain
how easy things could have been made
the myths and fears that had been lain
were merely fuel that fed the raid.

The hate and heat of evils core
that lingered round the depths of life
Opened the forgotten doors
of life and death's eternal strife

The risen came of cruel intentions
and carried out their own creation
equipped for the fiercest of contentions
they brought to earth certain damnation

horror but words understated
cries of terror filled the air
For on this day the lord negated
life not worthy of own despair.

Interesting - quite a controversial topic. I like it!
