Bills and payments and notes galore,
My mail's become a subtle bore.
What I wouldn't give for just one letter
Someone sent to make me feel better.

All these creditors, all these bills
Even one for little green pills,
What I wouldn't give for just one note,
Just one, that a human wrote.

Computers and typers and printers galore
Fill my mail with offers from stores
I'll never visit one of these places
Because of brochures with smiling faces.

Junk mail hell I've fallen into
Specials on Rice Krispies and shoes
Coupons, mailers from Pizza Hut, too
Really starting to make me blue.

What I wouldn't give for a simple note
One that an actual human wrote
A simple thing to ask I'm sure
To be delivered to my door.

lolol, oh how I know what you mean, someone backed into our mailbox and it was down for a few days, when the mail came in, scads and scads of junk, not a single letter from a human great poem

Robert, email me your address, and I'll send you a genuine letter. Hehe....except for birthday cards, I seldom see anything handwritten anymore. This is so true...nothing but junk in my box, either.

Thanks, RSEvans, The postal carrier must think my mailbox is a litter bin. That's most of what goes in there,
