Nunna daul Tsuny
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

The Trail Where They Cried,
so plain to see,
the tears that have fallen
from the eyes of the Great Cherokee.

A chasm so deep
it cannot be bridged.
The tears make mighty rivers
flowing through the ridge.

A land once so bountiful,
now covered with my people's tears.
Overcome with grief
for far too many years.

The crying of the Cherokee
heard through the ages.
Their wails fill the night
with such sad history pages.

Nunna daul Tsuny,
The Trail Where They Cried...
oh, Great Spirit wipe
the tears from these eyes.

Not so I'll forget,
for that could never be,
but so I can see the pride
of the Great Cherokee.
