Do not judge me in this desperate time of need. If you know a better way, take my hand and lead. I may not do things now with which you would agree. Take a minute to imagine I am you and you are me. Do you feel a sense of hopelessness at all? Do you know that you need help, but who to call? Do you feel the need to just curl up and cry? Know that you should get up, but can’t remember why? You have moments of lucidity and strength. They are few and far between, not long in length. What’s the matter don’t you like this game of switch? Let me tell you what you told me… life’s a *itch. Sometimes just having faith is not enough. When the path on which you walk is getting rough. Sometimes you need your friends to help you through. One thing that I learned from this, I can not count on you. So now that you have stepped into my place. You can’t wait to get away, I see it in your face. Here I’ll help you, reach out and take my hand. I’ve been there, where you are… I understand. ------------------ Not all poems I write are about me personally, yet they do come from MY soul. |
