My Humpty Dumpty Heart ...
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

Once I gave my heart away,
in came back in tiny pieces.
Now I have much more to give,
if you don't mind the creases.

A heart that's never been broken
is a heart that has yet to beat.
I don't care how many times it's broken
just so love I can repeat.

The taking and the breaking
are all a part of this heart.
I'd do it all over again
just to find one who may never part.

Humpty Dumpty's got nothing on me.
I can fall off the wall with the best.
But Humpty and I have something to prove ...
we'll find love that will stand the test.

All the king's horses,
and all the king's men,
can pick up the pieces
and bring them back ...
but I'll just give them out again !

Pepper and Denise ... thanks gals.
Enough pieces of this heart to go around.
Thanks for taking a piece.

Marge, this is wonderful
A heart so big
She happily shares
Though it's been caught
In many snares
Her heart of gold
She still beats on
And blesses us
With her poetry's song

Should your heart fail to the ground below,
Find me there and this here know....

I will pick you up,
and hold your hand,
Show you love,
and make you smile again.

Never should a lady know the pain,
that this world gives without strain.

Look to me,
and I shall give you a sign,
To show you beauty,
and love devine.

And this is a heart that keeps on giving.  Marge's heart cannot be contained and remains all around us.

Missing you, Marge.
