Yesterday

I saw you yesterday.
Caught a glimpse of your face,
As I watched my reflection
In the ripples of a pond.

I heard you yesterday.
While walking through the forest,
I heard your voice
In the rustle of the leaves on the trees.

I felt you yesterday.
Felt your touch on my skin,
As the warm rays of the sun
Lovingly caressed it.

I may not have been with you yesterday;
But I saw you, heard you, felt you,
As I do everyday,
In all that I do.

So nice....I know the feeling too, for both those I love and hate....

To feel the presence of important people in our lives although they are far away and then to write about it so well in a beautiful poem, you have done both.

What to say? It touched my heart, stirred emotions, painted a picture. What more can one ask of poetry. I enjoyed the read, thanks.

Well, Ruth, as long as you didn't see his face in the pool while looking at the scum, then that's a good thing. hehe

Your poem and sentiments, by the way, are beautiful.

I've learned that it's not a good idea to read your poetry one right after the other, for some reason it brings tears to me. Tears of joy ( when you found sam) sadness (veterans day) and now I don't know why I'm crying. love your poetry...walk with your head high knowing you've made a difference in someones life.

You paint a vivid picture.

I know this feeling. I've written of it myself. The reader feels the absolute passion.

Excellent piece

I felt you in the breath
of breeze upon my skin --
in the embrace of
the night's loving arms
who whispers dreams of you
into my soul;

I tasted of your kiss
In drops of summer rain:
the only fount to quench
my thirsty heart.

Sorry -- this really moved me, as you can tell. Inspiring.
