Field Of Vision

If I could see from here to forever
I'd know the mountains the valleys and plains.
Know what controls maybe and never,
Know the sunshines and cold bitter rains.
But my eyes can not see past the sunset.
What I see will soon drift to the past.
Today is the one day I'm sure of.
And I'm sure that today will not last.

If I could see from here to tomorrow
I'd know the troubles that I'll have to face.
I'd know what I need for the future
and carefully put it in place.
But my eyes can not see to tomorrow.
And yesterday dims in the past.
Today is the one day I'm sure of
and I'm sure that today will not last.

------------------
I look forward to tomorrow, while looking back on the past. But today is the day I am living. And I expect it to be a great day!
