It was a beautiful sunset,
Against a mountain view,
Beauty uncomparable,
Romantically shared by two.

It wasn't thier first encounter,
They'd loved so much before,
Each time better than the other,
Who could ask for more?

Their bodies lovingly entertwined,
Now "one" in love together,
As the sunset went down in color,
Their love consumated forever.

Their commitments sealed in romance,
Their love is never ending,
A marriage and honeymoon in Hawaii,
A new life together beginning.

It's such a touching love song,
One that should endure,
Nothing could come between them,
Good luck LongJohn and Balladeer!

Warning to all who read this sad poem by that scalawag - he is not to be believed - he is a dirty rotten rascal and a bane to us all. Toerag is a rascal and should never be believed.

Me thinks the Long One protests too much with the double post, but then Toe can drive one to extreams.

Toe... This was looking real good... and I thought "WOW! We're going to make it through to the end."... and then! WHAM! BAM! THANK YOU MAM!... I guess I held those expectations to high.

Now if I can just wipe the image clean from my wet-ware.

Gee, Toe... giving away his secrets like that got Long John so upset he's hiccuping! LOL.

Such a touching, romantic story... when the thought of touching makes me cringe! LOL. Thanks for the grins, sweets...

If you stop reading before the last stanza this is a beautiful poem..shows a depth of feeling and excellent use of imagery. I like it....then he punch line...ok...but I really like your serious stuff too....(are your feet on that chair again?)

I just realized... it's Friday and the sailor has been at Hooters all day (leaving Bal and those divine red pumps all alone *G*) Maybe that explains PART of the double posting! LOL

I knew this love story was too perfect to be true. Where did that bone come from? The funny one I mean, were you born with it?

Suthern, you got the Hooters and friday part right, I told him at 3pm to stay at work till he got sober, because 1, he was not safe to drive and 2, I'm not in the mood to put up with him, feeling a little under the weather, I'm sure he will just sleep it off when he gets home..LOL

You fooled me too! I thought this was going to one of your serious ones! Well, it's still lovely (most of it) and with a funny twist!

Thanks for all the replies you "real" artists offered.....For some reason, it's so easy to write love poetry about this couple?...The words just seem to flow into my fingers....they are a lovely couple, fine folks, and deserve each other....
