(ok so its a slightly modified villanelle)

I just cannot wait to be free
From the clutches of boring school
The clock spins 'round with sleepy glee

It's nearly stopped, it's teasing me
Laughing at the impatient fool
I just cannot wait to be free

Am I the only one who can see
That time is merciless and cruel
The clock spins 'round with sleepy glee

I yell out loud, a desperate plea
That the clock's hands and I should duel
I just cannot wait to be free

The teacher stands, states her decree
Wind falls from sails, yarn from my spool
The clock spins 'round with sleepy glee

Now the dean, she wants to see me
As other kids run home from school
I just couldn't wait to be free
-And the clock still spins with sleepy glee

This is great, Sys! I enjoyed this very much! I remember those days sitting in class staring at that clock! And now I do the same in work! (...ooops, maybe I shouldn't have told you that!)

So true. Those clocks are so anoying during school. They seem to take their time during, but after time goes by so fast and it's time to be back in school. What's even more anoying is when you have to stay after school, and the time just slowly ticks by. -I HATE CLOCKS- (lol)

Thank you, everyone, for the replies. I wrote this after watching the clock in math class for about 20 minutes.
