It's funny how when we look
back in depth at our lives
we smile, we laugh and we cry
no matter what we will survive

The times of 'curl up and die'
the rememberence of a happy smile
the memories of loves deep sigh
the thought 'one inch is such a long mile'

I've been here and I've been there
sadness or happiness beyond compare
to a few I've given and I have shared
and YOU my friends, are just so rare

You stayed with me as I cried but trying still to smile
I hope I measured up and was worthy of your time
In you I could be honest and opened up my heart
You listened to ME as I tried to speak in rhyme

If I don't go I'll be here in my past forever and a day
new memories will never have their given slot
to love is to give and to treasure each small word
to have and to hold is something not to be forgot

How the smiles and pleasure in you - my PIP
Pleasure in People is how it works for me
and the love you've given me is the way to start again
where expression of my heart is given through loving you....

HUGS all

So beautiful, Rainbow Girl. I loved the emotion put into this piece.

You just may be the 'pot of gold' at the end of a Rainbow, Girl.
Beautiful !

I agree with Balladeer!
I hear some undertones that could prove most disturbing!!!
(Good poem tho!)

Rainbow,
This is a very beautiful poem and a wonderful tribute. I'm not sure what lies beneath the surface here, either, but it does draw a little concern. Please just know we are your friends and you can always talk with us. If not, I'll be hunting you down right next to Balladeer...

Beautiful poem. If you are saying that you are going away for a bit, I hope it's just a vacation! Remember, a rainbow comes out after a storm to show us that there will be a brighter tomorrow..if we at Passions loose our rainbow, we'll all have to post in the Dark Forum!

Whatever is going on, you have my friendship and good wishes. We are all here if you need anything!

Yanno, lil Queen - if you do disappear, I'll start using that T word again, and you KNOW how you hate that T word. I loved this poem, as I love everything you write. You are a sweet spirit in this place, and one of the kindest people I know.

Sad words written so well.

Hurry back.

RG, Wouldn't know what to do some days without all those lovely ***hugs***. I know your heart has been troubled, I pray that you find peace...something is telling me this is where you're headed...you are most deserving of the best life has to offer...and I know you and serenity will find each other.

Thanks all for the hugs, thoughts, wishes and comments...

I just needed to take a few days to make some decisions...having done that, things seem a little clearer, you know, like mud...*g*
