Bright eyes full of trust, And a smile that melts fear, No wonder that I must Hold you, son, so dear. Golden hair like straw Little face that just shines From the first time I saw you I couldn't believe you were mine. I love you dear boy More than life itself dear And always I want You to be near. You laugh and grin Or cry when your mad And laugh again When your through being sad. How much can I learn From your outlook on life? The outlook you have Is so free from strife. My little angel, My blessing from God above, Please never doubt With you I'm in love. ------------------ Once I was brilliant, now I no longer shine, but the twinkle in my eye speaks of another time. |
