Poor Harry the poet! He had a huge crush on Marilyn but she wouldn't give him the time of day or her e-mail address. She said the only way she would communicate with him was on Twitter! He wanted to send her a poem but he thought it would look pretty hokey to send one to her one line at a time so he set out to create poems that he could send in stanzas - four lines at a time. In order to do that, he had to come up with 4-line stanzas that did not surpass the 140 character limit. Well, he did it and now they are two lovebirds, tweeting from dawn to dusk.

Can you? Let's see how good you can tweet poetically. Four line stanzas with a 140 character max per stanza. I won't count spaces as characters because I am the teacher with a heart. All Twits are invited to join in!

Remember you meter!!!

Yeah, Balladeer, there is that little problem - but we don't shoot other Alaskans as we are a protected species.

Looks like the muse returned to the moose....good to see it!

Nicely done, doc. Leave it to you to take a girl on a cheap date! Obviously I made this way too easy....I'll have to do something about that.

And Balladeer, I guess that would depend on your definition of "easy", let's see. We had to adhere to form ( three four line stanzas of 35 characters each )which involves some rather complicated word substitutions to get the correct count. Pick a somewhat coherent theme following your guidelines of trying to romance someone through "tweeting" them, and maintain rhyme and meter. A walk in the park m'friend, Lol.

You just ain't right in the head, girl...but your poetry is right on! You're the only one to think of using 4 and 2 and u, like the twitterers do to save space...nice work!
