Okay, so I completely blew the "simile" assignment
(cough, cough, excuse me, feathers in my throat).
Maybe a "two-fer" will put me back in good standing ( and hopefully I'll get it right this time )?

With sloth-like speed his mind reacts
fact is its prob'ly not that fast
last time the crazy thing got used
confusions' flag flew from the mast

as temperate as a raging bull
full steam ahead he jumps the tracks
back to this thing called "simile"
we simply must address the facts

act like the owl in that you're wise
disguise a rather simple truth
youth is no match for expertise
see, poetry's no fools pursuit

Shoot blindly as a lazer sight
right that which you at first did wrong
strong words from one who just ate crow
so, "two-fer "is the Doc's new song

'long Similes & Last & First
were not so easily rehearsed

Doc

Brilliantly done, moose. You get a smilie for your simile

Now, if you can convince me that fast and place in the first stanza rhymes, you're outta the dog house...

Balladeer,
I'll go you one better and fix it, plus the one in the last stanza you missed.
Doc

P.S., does this mean you're not going to revoke my poetic license ?

didn't  miss it...I was just being kind, trying not to be too nitpicky

Your poetic licence is still valid. I realize that it's a learner's permit..
