Through wistful visions, walk, as in a spell,
down paths that twist and turn, this way and that.
The whispering of the willows as they weep,
performing very plaintively today.

Each subtle shift that plies the freshening breeze
does slow our footsteps, soft, on mossy soil.
Swift liquid silver slides a splashing stream,
meandering through this meadow we have made.

As distance to our day-dreams dissappears,
imagining we've already arrived.

I'm seeing a modicum of "departure" from your norm in just about every line here, Doc - most prevalently in the final couplet.  Such departure surely hast a poem made...

Doc

"Through wistful visions, walk, as in a spell,"
I would like to walk with you, as well!

Lovely poem!

Dear Teach,
Ain't nobody puts it quite like you. Thanks.
Here's hoping to see you around as much as your schedule allows.
Doc

Martie,
Thanks, and I with you. I'd truly consider it an honor if you would entertain the idea of a collaboration on a piece, Any subject of your choosing, any format, any time.
