Ashes Embered
~*Marge Tindal*~

~So cold
Ashes embered
Wind shan’t blow them to life
Sooted stir of memoried flame
Cannot breathe life into them once again
Dead the recall of love so warm
Long before chilling storm
Took you away
So cold~
Deeply within
Iced-heart of never mend
All alone in the dark of night
Fingertip tracings cannot find the light
Embered flame extinguished into
Ashen thoughts still of you
Exhaled recall
So cold~
Queen of deny
No more quilting of love
For you are gone so far my dove
Away from these arms that longingly ache
How many times must a heart break
Before the lesson’s learned
Love dies … slow burn
So cold~
Fireplaced recall
Offers no comforting
Embrace of this body in need
Aloneness consumes each moment of time
The only arms I feel are mine
Reaching out to touch you
So far away
So cold~
Now I lay down
This claim to past desire
Full realize … there is no fire
To warm me on this cold, cold night
Never has this love, so wrong, been so right
Tears-in-fall drown all of the sheep
Jumping fences of weep
I’m left to cry
So cold~

Bring Marge in from the playground, and lookie what we get... I KNEW she could settle down and work hard if we'd just be patient with her... This is awesome, Marge... I'm very happy to see you...

Patience is a good thing...I didn't even see her track any sand in from the playground.  I think she goes to the top of the class, Teach!

Wow Marge!

This is so impressive.  How can you write the old "love gone wrong" theme without being trite and cliched?
And you did handstands with rictameter.  So glad you came in from the merry-go-round to do handstands in the classroom.

My eyes are bugging with awe and admiration.
