Summer

Summer
Hot and sweaty
Dried up grass and tree leaves
Feeling the heat beaming down too
Warming

Simple!
Look for drama
Sprinkle in some movement,
Show us your emotion -- TA-DA!
Cinquain!

Sorry, been talking in cinquain here for a couple days, just toying with it......

Seems to me this is a good start in the form (better than my own, which is safely buried in what used to be wadded-up paper in a retired landfill somewhere.....)and as you become more comfortable with it you'll find it as useful as haiku for short poetry. Haiku for meditation, cinquain for drama.

I could use some of that warming sun right now, Sue... Send some my way please?... Your cinquain seems to fit the criteria, so I'd say you've got yourself on the way to success here...
