‘Tis time for wearing of the green
With shamrocks round the bonnie glade
No finer color, true to be seen
In boundless hearts merriment be made

With shamrocks round the bonnie glade
We dance in round and sing in praise
In boundless hearts merriment be made
And with our glasses toasts, we raise

We dance in round and sing in praise
Of deeds long past and heroes saved
And with our glasses toasts, we raise
And over bonnie lasses rave

Of deeds long past and heroes saved
Tradition pure with no remorse
And over bonnie lasses rave
Drinking new memories round bars in course

Tradition pure with no remorse
A subtle hint of elegance
Drinking new memories round bars in course
To merriment let us all relent

A subtle hint of elegance
No finer color true to be seen
To merriment let us all relent
'Tis time for wearing of the green

Gosh and Begorra, Casidy!  I think that you've written a truly fine Pantoum.  And a very timely one at that!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Hi Casidy,

That's a great Pantoum you wrote.

What's St. Patricks day??? Don't know that one.

Oh so quick you wrote that and a good job too. Like I said to Titia, I think I'll just stick with a limerick this time. These look too hard.

Casidy--
Celebrating joy is so elegant.
More merriment let us invent!

Titia--
It is so delightful encountering you in these pages!
Since you asked--
St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland and March 17 is his feast day.

*smiles* Go raibh maith agat. (Irish for Thank you)

St Patrick’s day has always been very full of fun for me, since I was a wee lass... its my favorite holiday. Although I am only a wee 1/4th Irish, I cherish the bit o’luck it gives me.

Casidy - This piece just makes me want to get up and dance in tune to that grand old Irish merriment... I guess that means you've developed a pretty darned good theme... and your format is nicely intact as well...

What a fun poem!!..
