All righty - since Munda asked so nicely - Let's do a class on Free and Blank verse... I promise we can get into the heavy stuff next - but being the season of valentines, poetry needs to come "from the heart", as they say.... It just seems appropriate - So, who's in for Free/Blank verse?

Ahhh ha .. I sense an opportunity to have something that has long been a complete mystery to me .... explained !

Please yes Nancy if I may.

Ahem just three requests:

1. Protect me from the Jabberwock (specially in his new inflated status)

2. Haul Ruth back in here to help me

3. And allow me also to employ the Mistress of Free Verse herself as a personal consultant during this class .. lol

You do realize how much it pains me to say this but ... I'm in.  Is free-verse really poetry, btw?   *Jim ducks to avoid the rotten fruit*

Ahem just three requests:

1. Protect me from Knave Philip(specially now that he has that vorpal blade)

2. Tell Ruth the tack was Pete's idea.

3. And allow me also to employ Philip as the go-between to the Mistress of Free Verse herself as a personal consultant during this class .. lol

Well, since I love free verse, you needn't even ask me but rather just count me in...oh, but since everyone else is making their demands...lol

#1. Allow me to sit between Jim and Philip to seperate the two and ref any fights which may insue (not to mention to look off their papers since I've seen some great free verse out of these two who both at one point told me the didn't understand the concept)

#2. Do not allow the class to blame me for tacks on the seat when I have not been in class for a few days

#3. Make a rule not allowing fruit in the class room, is quite tired of ducking it all the time

Kess sneaks in to see if she can watch without being made to participate, as free verse is by far her weakest area ...

X Angel, just wait a bit. The great Wizard (who else but Ron) will put his magic spell on the Workshop soon, which allows you to post a new topic. Patience is all we need, my dear, and a little magic

Thanks! I was frettin there for a minute. I guess I got too excited, I sat down and made myself write a poem which is something I usually don't do, I usually wait til they come to me. But I went out searching and found one!   So then I wanted to post it ASAP! *wink*
Thanks and Nite!

OK Nan, I guess I'd like to try. But can I audit the course or otherwise take it for non-credit? I'm afraid of what it might do to my GPA.

P & J (lol...that's quite a sandwich),

I've decided to sit at the back of the class,
be silent (since I have been labeled as "fiesty", which is the furthest thing from the truth.   ) I don't want MY fingers slapped with Nan's ruler! And no pulling on my braids...it hurts, and then I'll make noise, and disrupt the class, and get in trouble. You two just sit in the front, deal?
I'm gonna be a good girl.

P...I'll never say "can't quite put my finger on it again."

Jimteach...I forgot...you're the phys ed. teacher.

Kris

P.S. Do I have to be accepted or anything, or is this open to all members? I do have transcripts, if needed.

That's a silly question, Philip.  NOBODY escapes the initiation ceremony.  Do you want to bring the shaving cream, jalipeno peppers and Absolut this time or should I?  I'll bring my leg waxing kit, funnel and paddle.       Initiations are SOOOO much fun.

Ms. Nan...Teacher,
Instead of a slap with a ruler, I get a slap with a word. (See what you guys did!!!)
Please allow me to stay...I am not what you say. An innocent am I, manipulated by those two true villains, sucked in by their toothy grins and sharp wit. I promise...I will be a perfect angel.

Is it too late for me to join.  Honest, I will cause no one no trouble.  My free verse could always use some polishing and if I understood what exactly free verse was, I think that might help.
