When we first opened the workshops, Ron and I discussed them pretty thoroughly.  We agreed then that it would be nice to have some of our resident poets occasionally offering some of their expertise as well...

So... I've invited Skyfyre to do a workshop in January - She offered to do the double sestina, but we agreed that the classroom would be empty except for the clinically insane -

Kess has decided that she wants to do her workshop on PERSONIFICATION... Who's in??? Just sign up on this thread, and wait for her to begin... and you guys... You'd best behave when we have guest speaker in here.... There's always "time out" ya know!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean exactly with "personification, Nan. Would you or Kess please explain this a little to me ?  I really would like to have some idea of what I'm getting myself into this time. ; )

Hey since Kess isn't really the teacher can I throw spit balls at her without getting in too much trouble? Please oh please! Just one! LOL

Count me in please...although until I shake this bug or Balladeer comes and drives it away, I may be a bit late. Can't formulate thoughts right now, let alone write poetry. Oh, I want to sit next to Philip if he signs up, he promised to help me cheat...oops, I mean help inspire me.

Oops, I guess I signed up in the wrong place (Skyfyre's thread) but count me in. I expect to need a lot of help with this stuff though. Maybe a few notes under the table or something.

Howdy
I am new to this board and also haven't written anything substantial in a long time (the one BIG reason for coming to this board ), so I, too, will be a bit hard-pressed to make my foggy imagery clear. However, I do *love* a good metaphor or simile.  I also have a good bit of fun personifying my car.

I'm rather new here, for one thing . .   don't expect anyone to recognise me.

And I'd love to be in this! Help is always welcome on the path to perfection!
