by charlie rodriguez francisco hernandez costa rican coffee dude

     Mountain biking is so fun
Blasting fire roads at 40 mph
Or navigating tight singletrack, just inches away
            from that tree
     Its a blast!!!

     Its not all fun though,
     Broken collarbones and sprained ankles
This is the price you pay
But I must say it is well worth it

     Your legs become like steel
     Your skill becomes razor sharp
     You're a whole new person
It even makes you happy on the inside

There once was a cow named Bob,
He was such a slob.
He was red and white all over
And everyone called him Rover.

One day he came to me and said:
"They are all such meany-heads!"
So I said to him:
"just don't listen to them."

Bob walked by his tormentors,
And then along the moores.
It was at that time that he asked himself
"Why couldn't I be an elf?!"

Ever since he asked himself just that
He has been wearing an elf hat.
All day long he wishes to join the merry folk
And live in the giant oak!

               Spring
Spring time comes once a year,
so when it comes lets give a cheer!
Fragent flowers, buzzing bees,
little birdies in the trees.
School is ending,
the weather is nice,
why can't spring this year come twice?
When spring's over,
please don't frown,
cause next year it will come around!

There once was a girl,
Her hair she would twirl.
She asked me to help,
But I replied with a yelp,
For in her hair a twirl!

I run
Alone
In the Dark
The Distance
Is farther
Than I
Could have
Imagined

I feel
As is
A million
Eyes are
Staring at me

Am I really alone out here ?

I desperatly
Try to
Calm Myself
Easing my pain
So to speak

My questions of fear
unanswered

I desperatly plead
With my lungs to give me
AIR
Life

But I have to
I have to stop for now
Until next time

I am safe
next door
AT Marks House

But how will I manage
To get home?

BATSTED

A night of tag is very fun
Make sure you are ready to run
       Don't fall down
       Or trip on the ground
       Because you might be tagged
       Look, watch, run, and hide
       Scream, yell, cast a spell
       What is that awful smell?

                 The Cycle
                 by Nebula

Climbing, Running, Swimming
It's all in Summer, the free-est time of year
The trees are green, the flowers bright
It's all in Summer

Then comes fall
Leaves turn colors, all yellow and orange
The days get shorter
You get colder
Then it's fall

Winter is the jolliest
It's all about giving and excepting
Everyone is having fun in the snow
But you're col, how cold in the snow

After that comes spring
You see buds on the trees
Everything is coming back to life
You are beginning to feel free again
The cycle is starting over

Basketball
By:Skitty Scat

Basketball is lots of fun.
I like to jump, I like to run.
I'm happy when I sink a shot.
For that is when I know I'm hot.

Keep up your head.
Or go to bed.
The game moves fast.
So don't be last.

But when the game is done.
Don't hide and run.
So win or lose my love's the same.
Basketball is a very fun game.

Football
By: Happy Slappy

Football is a fantastic sport to play
Usually during a hot sunny day
You have to like to run and jump,
For if you don't you'll get a large bump.

Football is an expensive game,
Because all you need is a ball to claim.
Alhough, you have to be very smart,
So that you can memorize poems and know them by heart.

Let me warn you of one minor thing,
Because if I don't you may have to wear a sling.
Remember to always keep your head high,
For it would be agonizing to see you cry.

Football is quite an enjoyable sport,
Especially with a lot of support.
So if you decide to take up this poem today.
Please, don't be like Drew Bledsoe throwing interceptions all day.

          Little Green Fuzzy Monsters
There is something living in my refrigerator
I can't save anything for later

Something is eating all my food
    It's actually quite rude

Once when I opened the door
There was something in an apple core

When I got closer I could clearly see
There was a little monster, green as can be

I never caught the little creatures
Eventhough it has many odd features

    Now the creature is gone
    He didn't stay that long

    The refrigerator almost seems dim
What's weird is I almost miss him

                The Butterfly
                  by Nebula

The butterfly sat on a tree
It sat there plain as can be
Everyone watched it flutter
Then it landed on the butter

The people didn't know what to say
They saw the butterfly sway
The children saw it fly away
They said okay, let's play

Some children were very sad
It was to bad to lose their comrade
Some even started to cry
Everyone was horrified

So the butterfly came back
Nobody then had a heart attack
Everyone was so happy
Even the butterfly was sappy

The people hugged each other
The children were even nice to their grandmother
Everybody said that it was enough
For one day that was tough
