Each night, I am deprived of sleep and rest
Three grueling weeks and I have just begun.
It started as a game, -- now I’m obsessed,
The cards were dealt,-- His will is left undone!
With every note my Fate is drawing near
The melody resounds in her steps
Oh Melpomene, my heart is filled with fear,
I'm tangled in my notes, -- my wicked webs.
I’m wove each line with Ariadne’s thread
My Requiem is due, I’ve lost my touch...
“Do take the ink that I’ve already bled
There’s blood in me, -- don’t hold it as a grudge!”

The words speak to me with an amazing amount of power.  I am a musician and composer, and many a night I have been up working on a new piece.  Always the notes speak, and only I can listen.  This poem gives me inspiration for another.  Thank you very much for the post.

Master: I have not been in here for quite a while and therefore I have missed out on some good poetry. This is another great piece once again by you. The words really struck a cord with me. The way that it was written was nice and the entire theme was really good.

Great work.

Hey man, no matter how bad things get, they will get better if you just hang in there. Great sounding poem though.

"Sa souvraya niende missian ye." \
I am lost in my own mind.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great,
And would suffice.

Awesome poem.  I really like the ideas of weaving the lines of your writing and having it turn from a game to obsession.  This was the first of your poetry that I have read, but now I will be sure to look for more.

dear master:
*waa haa haa* it's been a long time since i've read your work, but you've done again old chap... how old are you again?... this is a brilliant piece and i think i'm going to have to look up some of your earlier-posted works that i've forgotten in my time of absense... keep up the wonderful work and i'll keep an eye out for your future writings... oh yes, and best of luck to you on those compositions, whether in melody or poesy...

sincerely,
a sad tomato

you're such a beautiful freak... i wish there were more just like you...

Zeke, thanks for repsonding... I was inspired by the movie Amadeus... I recommend it to you if you haven't seen it.

N for the Soul, where have you been? Thanks for the compliments, although I don't think that I deserve your praise... As far as composing, I've never had an ear for music, but I'll keep on writing poetry. Thanks!
