Fade to Black

I got a bottle of vodka.
Helping me drown my sorrow.
I just don't care anymore.
If I live to see tomorrow.

All of life’s pressures.
Are starting to take their toll.
Just can't seem to get a grip.
I feel I am losing my control.

I can feel myself falling.
Into what seems like a bottomless pit.
No matter how hard I try.
There seems no way out of it.

Makes no difference what I do or say.
I just can't seem to win.
Maybe I should face the facts.
And just give in.

So I guess this my last goodbye.
I have reached the point of no turning back.
The end has finally arrived.
Fade to black.

I can really relate to this poem. I know the feeling. Things do get better. Just hang in there. Good poetry though keep it up and welcome to passions.

Love,
Jeanna

Hey, Welcome to passions. I really liked this one. I think everyone can relate to this one in their own way. Especially loved the last line, like an ending to a movie. Great work, keep writing!

First off, welcome to passions, please enjoy your stay. Now, I'd like to say that that is a beautifuly constructed poem, and very nicely written. It however is very sad, keep a stiff upper lip, I know from experience, things get better.

"Sa souvraya niende missian ye." \
I am lost in my own mind.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great,
And would suffice.

I lost my grandmother about a year ago.  It was hard, but it did make me realize one thing:  life is short.  Look forward to tomorrow, but don't forget today.  Remember the past, but don't live in it.  I'm sure you'll do fine, and I look forward to the funny poems.  Keep writing, your work is great.
