This is something kinda simple that I just whipped out a few minutes ago... it was actually going to be part of a longer poem but sort of stood out as "different" from the rest of it somehow. Please tell me what you think and any suggestions you have, since I may want to keep working on it.

We build a house of our ignorance
We furnish it with denial
We paint the windows with carefree decadence
To keep us from knowing the dangerous truth

And we never go outside
And we never open the shutters
And we never see the prison we made
For ourselves, in trying to shut the world out

That poses alot of interesting questions. I would like to see the rest of the longer poem you were making, or the rest to this poem.

Lucidity is the answer to all problems
