Hey Everyone- I know we've done this in the past, but I wanted to take another stab at it, seeing as we have so many new people posting here. I was wondering if everyone could take a minute to introduce themselves... As for me? Well... I just graduated highschool, my name is Elizabeth, and I live in Texas. I've written ever since I can remember. There's just an art, that I've ever since been trying to master, in getting people to see through your eyes only using words. I'll probably major in English in college... but don't really have any plans after that... Okay, your turn. ...Daysleeper... "We prefer to do things comfortably" said the Controller. I'm glad that you started this topic, Daysleeper. We all need to get to know each other! My real name is Erica, and I'm a 15 year old from West Virginia. I wrote as a child, and I actually had a poem published at age 7. But I stopped writing for awhile... then I began again around the end of last year, and then I found Passions. I'm Krista, 16 years old, and I live in Minnesota. I came to passions almost a year ago (I'm one of the first! there were less than a hundred members back then). I've been writing poetry steady for a year and a half now, and I love it! I'm a sophmore in High School and I plan to go to college and either teach elementary, High School English, or Music. I've been writing for a while, but i never got so into it until i started having things happen such as being hurt, or losing a friend, you know how it is. Hey...I'm new here, and I think this is the BEST forum on the net! My real name is Sarah, but I prefer Lani coz it means 'sky' in India,(not sure about the language). I'm 15, from the UK and have been writing ever since I was little. Writing and art is my only form of expressing myself as effectively as I can. I hate maths, science....I love the sky and nature. |

Hello! My name is Vreni, and I currently reside in western NY (physically, at least.. lol...I'm not sure about mentally... lol). I am 16 years old, and will basically be a freshman in college next year, as I will be enrolling full-time at the University of Rochester. (My parents, however, wish that I graduate w/ my original grade in high school, so I will attend HS for one period a day.... lol) My intended major is neurology, with my hopes being set on neurosurgery. Well, I enjoy poetry, though I am not exactly adept at producing it myself.... lol. Well, let's see. I'm a 15 year old female from broomfield, colorado. I recently found my so called writing skills about a year ago when my dad and I started having problems. I have been writng to get away from the world, and sometimes even myself. I started posting my poems on the Forum after reading the one my best friend posted dedicated to me. For those fo you who have read her poem and curious as to how it is going, we are ok and everyuthing is back to normal...actually better than ever! Well my real name is Jessica, Jess preferably, and I'm a 17/F from Winnipeg, MB Canada. I've been writing for a few years now. I discovered that I enjoy writing poetry and that people like my poetry when I was around 12 or 13. I find that mt poetry reflects on who I'am inside and out good or bad. It's my way of fenting out stress or feelings like love. I can really get everything out with my poetry and thats why I write. Poetry is another way to look inside the soul of someone. I'm Marissa, 14 year old from Southern Cal. I like to sail, swim and read - poetry, of course. Poetry is just something I do for fun, and I've been writing short stories, unfinished screenplays and poems since I was about 9 I guess! It's the one way I can express my feelings in my own way. Heya all, Sorry, i have been AWALL for a bit (its a long story, it involves some more colorful metaphors...well, a lot.) I'm 16 and male, i live in Vancouver, Washington in the good ole US of A. I started writting poetry because i found it a great release for all the mixed emotions of teenage exsistance. I enjoy martial arts (even though i not vary good...) swimming, poetry (Duh) and bumming around town with friends. My *real* name is Alex, but my friends call me Alice (A vary LONG story), only my close friends call me that, anyone else generally gets psyically beaten if they call me that. Hey, my name is Jeremy Halstead. I'm from Morris, Ill. I'm 20 years old (as of 6/20 and I work in a wire making factory for a living. Anywhoo... I've been writing since I was about 10 years old. I think I've covered just about every type of poetry and every theme involved. With every phase, event, or feeling I've ever lived through and learned from is a small collection of poems. I've got appoximately 300 or so still hanging around right now from the last few years, the rest have all dissapeared. They are roughly collected and organized into 2 books. I had one finished and put together, but it was borrowed to be read and lost before I took it to a lady to read and consider publishing oppurtunities. The truly sad thing is is that I believe that was the best writing I'll ever do and never be able to shine like that again. I'll keep pusshing on, though. I'm getting 2 poems published in 2 different books. I plan to go to college and major in either Interior design..or in writing. I'm a 16 female from Indiana. My actual name is Jeanna (Gina. I'm now going to be a senior in high school. I got started writing poetry when I was 13 I was very depressed and having normal teen problems when I got an interest in Edgar Allen Poe. Then i realized i liked to read poetry and decided i would try writing and noticed how much it helped me with writing my feelings down since i had no one to listen and now it just stuck with me. Ok, let's see . . . my real name is Crystal. I write poetry ocassionally, but love reading the stuff on this forum. Actually, I used to post on this forum that was open to everyone, registered or not. The root address was www.netpoets.com with a bunch of stuff after it. Well, my computer died and I lost all of my bookmarks. So in an effort to find my forum I typed in www.netpoets.com and eventually ended up here. By the way, I still haven't found my forum L But that's ok, I like this one as well!!! I just graduated from high school yesterday and in two and a half months am off to college!!! I plan to major in civil engineering. Lets see here, as for hobbies, I like to read, write, play the key board, surf the net, etc. I do a lot of community service but lately I've been so busy b/c I'm working two jobs that I haven't had time to do much of anything but work. Hi there. The real name is Christelle, which is a French Greek name and means follower of God. I am 16 years old, in high school and live in South-Africa (no, there ain't no lions walking around in our streets and we don't hunt for our food) After a passed matric, I want to study marine bilogy as well as photography, it's been a dream since I can remember. I have been writing since gr6 (still need a lotta work and have been hooked since. Just one more thing I wanna say, it's great getting to know all you guys Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach. |

I am working on writing a novel, actualy I've not worked on it for a bit.... I should get back to that. Oh well, no matter.
