* Disclaimer: I'm writing this out of how I feel at this moment in time, Jehovah's Witnesses just came to our door, and my mom insisted not to answer. I felt bad because of it.*

Knock, Knock.
Someone's at the door. I'll get it. No, don't. It's them again. But why must we turn away everyone who come knocking at our door? We don't turn away everyone, just those that we don't like.
Knock, Knock.
Please, mom, let's answer the door and welcome them. No, daughter, not now. They are different from us. No, mom they aren't. Yes they are. Don't you see, they don't believe the same what that we do. You mean that anyone different from you is wrong? No, that's not what I said. That's exactly what you said.
The Knocking stops.
Look mom, you made them feel bad. They're leaving now. Jesus never turned anyone away from us. What if it was Jesus knocking on our door? Would you turn him away too?
The moral of this is:
Don't turn away anyone, even though they maybe different from you, or they have different beliefs, because under our God-whether you're Buddhists, Islamic, Hindu, Jehovah's Witness, or Christian, or even Atheistic, we are all special, and all loved. And what if one day, your God came to your door. Would you turn him away too just like you do those who come knocking on your door?

This is so true. So many people claim to spread God's love, but they turn away from those who need it the most.

It is a very important message that you write about here. In this country we have many Sunday morning Christians, who become something else the other six and a half days of the week (its my understanding that Jesus never stepped foot in a church).  I have had Jehovah's Witnesses knock at my door many times. I have always opened the door and had very nice discussions with them. Many times it was teenagers and they always carried their Bibles.  I have found them to have excellent knowledge of the Bible.  Their desire is to share that knowledge with everyone.  Is that not what Jesus wants???
By the way, I'm Methodist!
Glad you wrote this story. Back to the top with this~~~~
