Starring into the blank space of time,
The only thing that quickly stands still,
Her neck tightens.
Once again she is drawn into every emotion.
Fear, rage, triumph, failure,
Sadness, sorrow, love, and determination
Cirle her like the devil's angels.
Her stomach is large, ready to explode,
once again, she succoms to the disease.
It is winning the fight,
And she can't do anything about it.
So she slowly walks to cell where she is trapped, Locked up by the fear she has;
Mind games constantly being played in her head.
Bending over the porclean goddessshe bursts
Everthing bad inside her comes out.
She thinks she is getting rid of the
Frustration inside,
But the disease has become stronger,
More deadly.
This is bulemia.

Bulemia is like a prison....I hope you aren't held hostage by it. This is a very good description of it. If you are suffering, get help.

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

~Karen~

A very powerful and well written piece!  I only hope that this isn't written about your experience with this deadly disease!  Unfortunately when I was in high school I suffered from both eating disorders and it really is a prison and no one can understand the pain, the emptiness and the confusion that goes along with low self-esteem and eating disorders.  Perhaps in reading your poem, maybe others who haven't had an eating disorder will somehow understand the seriousness of it.  Thanks for sharing this creative piece, and I wish you the best!

Take care,

wow, what a description!

I do hope this is not based on your own experiences.. 'coz it is indeed, a horrifying hell to go through.. well, so I have reason to believe...

Great poem!!  I hope that this is not based on your expieriences.  It can kill and it has.  I was once  held captive by this disease, don't let it get you!!

Thanks everyone for the comments.  This disease is serious and no one understands the pain unless they are unfortunate enought to experience it.  "Life is a struggle to get better, but sometimes it's hard just to survive."
