-When You Were Mine-
The first tear slips down my cheek,
in that moment, my knees go weak.

I drop down to the floor,
--not wanting to be here anymore.

Our song plays on the radio,
that country ballad... soft and slow.

The tears fall, sobs escapes my lips,
I wish you would wipe them away with your fingertips.

The tears fall down, catching light,
they drop to the ground, out of sight.

A small puddle forms at my knees,
Hands clasped, i'm begging please.

Please don't leave me, don't go away.
I'll be so lonely, if you dun stay.

My heart is sunken with emptiness,
I'm speaking silently to the darkness.

I've always been there, you just never saw.
I waited by that phone, hoping you'd call.

The truth doesn't always hurt more than the lies,
I'd rather my laughter heard more than my cries.

Please, will you listen? I have much to say...
It goes back... back to the first day.

That simple glance, that one look.
Eye contact, that's what it took.
I found myself in love, fallen fast...
but that was then, in the past.

In my mind, images hover,
And just like that, it was over.

In my head, what i see--
Our time together, just you and me.

You're out now, probably with friends,
I'm alone, crying... as my heart mends.

I'm wearing that shirt you never came to get,
Remember me? That one girl? I'm incomplete.
              -That's it.

I know exactly what you are dealing with, my boyfriend of 8 months broke things off with me, and I felt like my whole world was falling apart. I have to see him every day, and even though it's been several months now I can't look at him without feeling sadness, anger, confusion, longing and a storm of countless other emotions raging inside me. It really sucks to go through that crap, but I hope you can get on with your life and be happy. Great poem, by the way.

Please take me somewhere far
Far away from this world of mine*

I know this feeling also. Even though I am a guy. A girl I had been seeing broke it off in a manner of ways, and gorsh, did it feel like crap! I know how you feel, but I also know, your heart will mend sweet deary. Someday, somewhere, somehow, you will find the one you will be with forever...Keep up your hopes...I know that its hard, but your heart is mending as I type, even if you cant feel it. Even if it is happening very slow, it is still happening. Give it time. Feel better sweetheart...you'll be ok in the end.

"DO NO GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT"

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men and their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught the sun in flight,
And learn too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
