Why are you my mother? Why do you love me? When all I do is lie, Why do you bring me joy? If I can only cry. Why do you understand? When all I show is hate, Why do you follow? If you know you are the bait. Why do you stay? When all I say is ‘go’, Why do you continue? If I tell you ‘no’. Why did you keep me? When all I bring is strife, Why don’t you leave me? If I only hate my life. Why do you believe in me? When I only let you down, Why do you always smile at me? If I can only frown. Why are you my mother? When my real one’s depart, Why do you still love me? If I can’t share my heart. |
