Reflections of a Little Girl

~*A little girl looks in the mirror
heart full of pain, eyes full of fear
Life is so hard but she's to scared to die
too weak to scream, to tired to cry

This girl is searching for a soul
to lift her out if this endless hole
Someone to give her tender kisses goodnight
and when it's real stormy to hold her real tight.

This little girl is quite surprised,
to see my reflection in her eyes. *~

~Rachel~  Short, but it gets the message accross.

Short yes, but very high quality.  This is extremely beautiful and heartfelt, I am impressed!

Beautiful poem. Lonely, but hopeful.
Good work.

The little girl has grown up tall,
She's see so much, she's done it all.
She gazes in the looking glass,
And sees the child from the past.

The pain is there, the fear is too,
Too often she is feeling blue.
She finds her strength to carry on,
A love so bold, secure and strong.

She finds it in the depth of her,
Her master's voice, strong and sure.
He's brought her through the toughest times,
He's tought her that her light so shines.

Her Father's hand, his warm embrace,
Cures her ills and lights her face.
He's always there inside of her,
Her fears he soothes when they do stir.

She looks again into the glass,
And sees that peace has come to pass.
She's found her light, her guiding hand.
In one who came to earth as man.

what a very sad poem. Very well written, but oh so sad. If you ever need to talk, I'd be more than glad to listen, chat, yatta yatta, so email me, or call me up on ICQ if you want

"Sa souvraya niende missian ye." \
I am lost in my own mind.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great,
And would suffice.

FlipAngel, nice writing.  Lots of expression is so few lines.

Marilyn, you get an A+ also!

Wow, both of those poems are so beautiful.
They are so strong and they capture the reader in a way that is so important.
I wish that more of my writing could have half the effect of both of yours.
They're both brilliant.

Love Always,
Shell.
