darkness be my friend
your the only one who's near
you taught me how to hate and envy
you taught me how to fear

darkness be my saviour
your grasp on me is firm
you comfort me from reality
you offer obscurity which i yearn

darkness be my master
your existence i hold in awe
you have a majestic power
you have opened up the door

darkness be my enemy
your companionship was not right
you offered me a life
then you showed me the light

I am glad darkness eventually became the enemy! This is a really good poem.

I enjoy reading your poetry..

Darkness is not always bad, but u must be able to see both the darkness and the light, and live in between.. then u may be enlightened...
An awesome poem.. I love the last few lines.. the darkness betrayed you there..

You had me swirling on this one. Darkness by my friend, but the things it taught you were not good things. The end was good though.
Nice writing.
