Losing a friend. What could I have done to prevent this? Why do things go as they do? I don’t know why we must say goodbye, All I know is I will always love you. You were my friend...are my friend, In my heart that will always be. But your mom took the final decision, I wish I could know why she hates me. We gave each other so many hugs, I was there for you and you always gave my soul a lift. It is so sad to see us pulled apart in this way, Will we ever be able to cross this rift? Is there nothing I can do to make it all better? I feel so lost and alone. And though now you are unable to hear me, My heart just for you does moan. God brought us together, He gave us each a gift: A gift so precious, it makes gold looks cheap. Now we must go our separate ways to live, But you are still in my heart, so deep. For the last time I will hug you, A big bear hug like we used to. I hope you will always remember Me and the way I love you. |

This is such a touching yet sad poem. I know exactly the way you feel. I lost my best friend because her mother despised me for speaking my mind. I still talk to her but because her mother has made such a big impact on her life and I haven't been able to defend my name, things have changed. ~AF~ What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger |
