I sat along a rainy night the day that we broke up
clutching the card and necklace you gave me on St.Valentines
wondering if you were thinking the same as me
or that you forgot and are thinking of your next target
I bow my head and cry in whispered tears of silence
of why of thy true love has now departed from I
The next day i despiced you
and cursed and stabbed your heart instead of mine
but i reconize that can't happen
because it was all my imagination
But if it did come true
you probably would ignore me
on account of my childish ways
The following day after that I had the courage
to eye at your coward face
and to think I actually danced with you
was a mistake, which love has lead me to
"Why" I ask
"Why do I choose to love and therefore to hate, and soon afterward to regretfullness?"
No one would have an answer
not even a guess
But as my mother always spoken
"Your too young to love my dear."
But what I always voiced was
"Is love an age limit my dear?"

Love has no age limit, it only comes in differant forms depending on our age and who we are.
The word love is a very broad term.
Loved your poem

No one is ever too young to love. If you have those feelings, let them out. Your world will be so much more brighter because of it.

great piece and I look forward to reading more of it.

Bec...you are too young to love!!! lol j/k :

You're never too young to love- it's just that some people take your love for granted or what not.  I loved your poem- I understand exactly where you're coming from.  Keep up the good work.

I don't think you, or any of us, are too young to have the feeling of love.  The question is, are we too young to deal with it?  Is there an age limit on that.  The end of your poem made me think of that.  Just thought I'd share.

The truth will attend to itself.

No one is too young to love, only that young hearts feel alot of pain in face of loss because youngs hearts don't know how to cope with being rejected. Beautiful poem. Just remember the good times and forgive freely. If the love was worth the pain of now, then it is worth it, truly.

Love and hugs,
Lizzie.

You are never too young to love. Love comes in so many different forms and if you know it's love...then it's love.

I hope it works out for you.
