What is Love?

  I've heard people say;
That love is kind.
  And some people say;
That love is blind
  But I just can't;
make up my mind...

  The truth is hidden;
and is so hard to find.
  But I think Love is diffrent;
for all mankind...
  For some people;
Love is unkind.
  but for others
It leaves them unconfined.
  so as you can see;
Love will always be undefined;
  And each and every person;
Has to make up their mind...

dear chico,
     to a certain degree i agree with you here; i would say that we each define love in a different manner, but i would diverge from you on the grounds that love actually IS different for each of us.  our experiences of what we consider "love" are certainly different and unique to the individual, but does that mean that love itself is different? i would argue that is not the case.  i believe that love IS and that no matter how we look at it and twist it, that love is still love and still the same as it was yesterday and that it will still be the same tomorrow. "love" does not hurt us, people do -- situations do.  perhaps i sound like a rambling fool, but i strongly believe in the old addage: LOVE CONQUERS ALL.  i dont believe that the problem is that love is subjective, but rather that we do not truly understand what love is.

sincerely,
the beautiful freak

Hey that is so correctly and accurately summed up.  I've just been in a year long relationship and we recently broke up.  I thought whilst in the relationship that love was so happy and perfect but in the end it ended up hurting me.  Love can't be defined.
Hope u fall in love and will always be happy!

Hey-
well, I'm gonna stay out of the whole arguement over love being defined or undefined. Most people would just call me a love-sick fool anyway!
I will say, that no matter what your opinion, the poem was very good and had some very strong points. And I loved the way it flowed!

my comment about what love is:

Love is the feelings you feel, when you feel that you are going to feel some feelings you never felt before.

Love is such a beautiful thing...

...I have been in love for 2 years now, but I never got a response, maybe cause I'm shy!
