I never wanted it that way.
I never wanted the cold shoulder.
I never wanted the silence.
All I asked was for no touching.
I didn't ask for this.

I wanted my space, and the chance
to think things through.
Had I made the right decision
by ending it all with you?

And each day the answer becomes
a little bit clearer.
I made the right decision, so did we.

In the beginning it was our decision to be
this way.
But in the end, one of us was hurt more.
Whether it was me or you, we may never know.

I never wanted it that way.
I never wanted the cold shoulder.
I never wanted the silence.
All I asked for was no touching.
But in the end, I got it anyways.

Interesting poem.  I liked the way you started and ended the poem.  Nice style.
