Darkness covered the room
dim light through window pane
see the impending doom
if feels so mundane
man coming through the door
night makes him look black
didn't know what he was
until I stabbed him in the back
looking up at me
it was my own laying on the floor
but how can this be?
he looked like a black man
when he came through the door

"Any fool can make a rule, and any fool will mind it."
Henry David Thoreau

Don't look... you might see.
Don't listen... you might hear.
Don't think... you might learn.
Don't walk... you might stumble.
Don't run... you might fall.
Don't make a decision... you might be wrong.
Don't live...you might die.

This is quite a powerful poem in only a short amount of writing. Very good work.
