Goodbye

Goodbye dear place I've come to know.
Goodbye youth of summer and snow.
Goodbye fears in hidden fury.
Goodbye seven years gone by in a hurry.
Goodbye all unsolved lies.
Goodbye all broken family ties.
Goodbye you old wicked winding road.
Goodbye every stroy never told.
Goodbye hatred, hurt, and pain.
Goodbye dreams never attained.
Goodbye my prison with four standing walls.
Goodbye life's rises and all it's falls.
Goodbye perplexity in all different forms.
Goodbye childish fears of thunderstorms.
Goodbye days with my lemonade stand.
Goodbye life with no demand.
Goodbye worries in a dusty haze.
Goodbye young struggle through a hamster's maze.
Goodbye each forgotten tear.
Goodbye problems that now seem mere.
Goodbye love's last command.
Goodbye things I could never understand.
Goodbye both friend and cowardly foe.
Goodbye each final Saturday show.
Goodbye blue demon finally unveiled.
Tomorrow is a new day to be shared.

This is amazing. I'm not going to try and interpret the main ideas behind it because I don't want to falsify it in my mind. I love your words and the memories they hold, so please let me know exactly what you wrote this about. It's wonderful.

Thanks for the reply Lovebug. This poem is actually about me moving, kind of silly, but it's kinda saying goodbye to the good and bad that happened here and showing the reader both sides of it. Thanks for asking

This is so unique and expressive that I can hardly believe that more people have not responded.  If this were posted in Open Forum #6 you would have many responses.
So unique and wise.  You have a unique vision.
Very nice poetry.

This is a lovely poem! I understand how you feel, I recently left my school, am moving to a new one soon. The feelings you express, some I can relate with. You have a great talent! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Say goodbye to all these things,
Except what each memory brings.
The joy the pain, of life's long path,
Each tender moment and the rath.
Remember with a gentle smile,
The path you walked, every mile.

This was an exquisite piece and I agree with Danny, you should post it in open. Wonderful writing my friend.
