The day I got the news, We were going to move AGAIN, I couldn't believe my ears, My life as I knew it would end. I'd been there for five years. Why did it have to come to this. Do they ever think of my feelings Or all the friends that I would miss? I tried think positively, Not of the things that I held dear. As I looked at the town faiding, I shed a single tear. Now I was here, A new kid in a small town Its hard to make new friends, With barely anyone around. Then one day the light shone on me. It's the day I first met you. We just happeneed to click, Forming a friendship so true. Now you tell me you're leaving. How could you do this to me! Friends 'till the end, Thats how it was supposed to be. I need you in my life. How can you say goodbye. You expect me to be strong, So I am glad you can't see me cry. As these tears keep flowing, Like a river, without end. I remember all the good times With my best, best friend. I can't help but smile then, At the crazy things we do, It'll be hard not to think "us" It's just "me" with out you. So I will be strong, friend. Do as you tell me to. But don't make this Goodbye, Just say See ya later, I love you. |

Oh! I am so sorry! I have been in that position before. When I read your poem it made me wanna cry, but honey you gotta keep your head up! People in your life come and go, but losing your best friend is a different story. I hope things go good for you and I have faith in you. Just keep in touch it may not be the same but if you know where each other is, fate will bring you back together because your best friend should mean everything to you. oh...i can honestly say that i have been in this position. my first best friend one night rang me on the phone...her parents were in trouble with people...and they were catching a train to another state that night. i didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. i cried for days aafterwards...i felt that i wouldn't make such a good friend as i had..but as time persisted a new and bright friendship prevailed...but i still have all the good memories. cheer up Bec |
