I thought you were a friend, Now I see I thought wrong. Friends don’t act like you do, Our friendship was still young. I thought goodbye would be hard, Friendship fades, friendship dies. I thought I could do it, But I still can't take lies. I swear you said you cared, Now I'm left in wonder. Just what could have happened, When I heard the thunder. It seems to have quieted, But maybe I am wrong. I only hope I'm right, I see it won’t be long. I am not good with words, But I will always try. To do nothing but talk, Don’t look for me to cry. Theres more to me, you see, Always more I can be. I go here, I go there, I'm just letting you see. Just maybe I was wrong, When I thought with my heart. I wish I were still young, Now, in hiding, my heart. At one point I did care, But you threw that away. Now I must say goodbye, I am not here to stay. I can just say one thing about this poem and that is that I can relate to this completely!! I had a friend like that and i told her to go and get buggered. Anyway this is a touching poem that highlights the oh too timely reminder of how some friendships go. |

heh, I know how you feel. I have a friend who has no honor. I finnaly just told him to booger off and refuse to speak to him. He really pissed me off. "Sa souvraya niende missian ye." I am lost in my own mind. ;) |

Friendships are delicate things. The really good ones endure time and tribulation. The others just turn out to be acquantances. Nice poem, good rhyme and structure. I thought this flowed very well. I think your one of the better teen poets, and as you know, I read a lot in here. D |
