OUR KIND

We all live in a world
Whose soul is made of stone.
No one has control.
No one can believe
That it's all an illusion.
Just hide in your shadow,
Breath in your faith,
Keep all your anger,
So that nothing escapes.
Be like the rest.
The ones that hide in the midst of the night,
The ones that live in the shadows of hell.
As light shines on them,
Their shadow is visible.
You can't have light without a shadow,
So they block out the light,
And in the end,
Only the night shall save our kind.
Our kind is the only one left.
Our kind, between life and death.
Our kind, between darkness and light.
We are...
Human beings.

Very interesting piece!  "a world whose soul is made of stone".  a dim view you depict.
This is a unique perspective and nicely written.
