just about where I want to be

My dear trusting,
Fun-loving friend
Can you see us
At the far end?

Laughing just like
When we were young
Running and singing
In the sun

Remember that old
Field of flowers?
Pretending we had
Superpowers?

That old clubhouse
In the tree
Falling down and
Hurting me!

But your heart is set
It wants to fly
You're leaving me
Without goodbye

But until together
We will be
Our friendship will stay here
Safe with me

written for my best friend, Susan Cunningham. Miss you!!

~~Lavada~~

Another poem I can relate to, Lavada.  My best friend, Marina, moved, too, but it was expected, because she was a foreign extange student.  I just can't say that we had a field where we made up superpowers or a clubhouse that I got hurt in.     Good job...

I know how you feel about missing your friend, Lavada.  I miss Marina like crazy.  But look on the bright side- hopefully you'll see her again soon.  If I'm lucky, Marina might come here and visit for a week this summer...

If it makes you feel any better, you have me as a friend, and we can make up any superpowers and hurt ourselves by thinking too much here in Passions...     Just think of all the trouble we can cause.....  *EVIL GRIN*

I know how it feels to have my best friend leave unexpectedly, but better to think of happy times rather than the day she left. Good job.

This is so beautiful! I can sorta relate to this. It reminds me of my childhood friends and how we thought nothing would ever change. We never even thought about it. You used to live for the moment not the future and your poem reminded me of that. They haven't left, it's just that time can make you drift apart and when you realize what has happened it's too late! Great work as always SCG! Loved it.
