Sitting here in class
I realize I'm daydreaming
about you again.

I'm picturing your arms,
holding me tight,
keeping me safe.

I keep hearing your voice,
telling me everything
will be all right.

I feel your lips on mine,
giving me the kiss
that promises your love.

I feel your hand take mine,
giving mine a little squeeze,
just to show affection.

Now I hear the bell,
disturbing my daydream,
only for me to have it again later.

for my current boyfriend, Nate, which is why it's been edited...

Well thank you for your replies, and I'm glad that it's sweet.  I haven't given it to him yet, but soon, and I hope it's liked by him as much as by you...

You know. I wish there were caring women like you over here in California. Everyone I meet is either full of themselves or just total crackheads. I'm just glad there are still caring people in this world. No matter how messed up it is right now.

Thanks for your replies,
Trevor:  Don't worry, you'll find someone as caring as me, if not more so.  Just don't be looking for someone, let them find you.  That's how I found Nate.  I wish you luck, though.

This was a very sweet poem. I liked it alot. What sucks even worse is when you ARE a caring girl who doesn't get appreciated for the sweet things that they do, and say. I haven't found a caring guy YET. Anyway...keep up the good work!

I can hardly believe it myself that I found such a caring guy- I hope all works out...   I showed him this poem and another one I wrote for him when he came in to see me at work, and he almost cried right there, in front of everyone...  He said no one has ever written poetry for him, and that he hopes to see everything I write for him.  I hope everything means as much as these first 2...
