Stop trying so hard
It'll get you nowhere
Nowhere so fast
It'll make you spin

My head's in a daze
From people coming
and people going
in and out of my life

It makes so little
Sense to even try
To belong, to fit in
The society that shuns

I've been waiting for
So long, it seems like
Years to this date
And nothing's been right

I'll take it a little at
A time, accepting and
rejecting things passed
in my direction, in my sight

I'll put a little
Faith into people i've
Longed to trust, people
I've longed to be near

I'll keep my cool
And stay away, keep my
Distance from them
Until the signs are clear

I'd like to feel safe
I'd like to feel real
But when these days go
By, i lose control

Take a little time in
Realizing just what you
Have, each laugh, each
Smile, each note of blue

Don't push it, you might
Just stumble, forget what
You've learned, and learn
Everything that you can

Playing by the rules
Won't always get you
what you want, break them...
And see where it takes you

Nights, I always enjoy reading your work because it is so passionate. I think maybe you should take your own advice in the last stanzas. If you let yourself get close to someone, even if you're not sure, it may turn out alright. Just a thought. Wonderful work.

This was wonderful. I apluad you on this wonderful writing. It is one of the the most thought prevoking poems I think you have written. Great Job.

Thankx for the replies.  It's been a little weird lately in school and with friends and just with  life.  But writing always helps. Thankx again
