Halloween is meant to be a night, When the ghouls come out to play. But this was my night, When you graced me with your presence. Although trick or treating is not celebrated, Out here in good ol' Aus. I had to do it anyway, And I knew why when I saw you. My feeling of stupidty washed away, Instead my head was filled with mist. I couldn't see, I couldn't breathe, I knew I had to be with you. You came along with me, Walking through the night. We were so close yet so far apart, I thought that I would die. We were hitting it off, The I heard the dreaded word. Girlfriend lingered in my head, It still does to this day. Did she want him as I did? Did she feel the same? I knew one thing for sure though, I hated her already. She had him, I didn't. It got too much. But he disappeared, With her, the girlfriend. I miss him so much, Cause I let him get away. I just need to see him once more, To put my mind at ease. |

This was pretty cool but, are you sure you "let" him get away, or did he just leave and remain true to his woman? But I share the sentiment, I've had flings with guys who then said the dreaded "G" word. It bites.  |

Ohhh... The "G" word! I think I'll stop using it now! LOL Anyway... anonymousfemale you did a great job on this and I was very impressed with the emotional expression placed into the poem.
