A lie was told to the world that I so much adored
It backed them away and laid their hearts in dismay
I'm in shame, for I know that this is no game
But it makes me so insane, always the one to maim

Set with the best, never made to rest
It was just another test, in which I lost all zest
Taken out of the storm, in which I was born
I was never so torn, and now I lay here and mourn

Why I’m prying this open, what I’m trying to say
Is I told a lie, I don't know why, and now I cry
For this is a pain that I gained by telling a lullaby
The rules I did bend, and now I wish for a happy end

"It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh
it's my mouth that pushes out this breath..."-FTE

reminds me of a rap song with all the internal rhyming and stuff.  nonetheless, it was a very good poem.
