just about where I want to be

0 posted 2000-02-08 09:28 AM

I've never been happier
Than I am at this moment
You've given me everything
When you gave me this ring

Together foever
We will be
I love you
And you love me

You hold my heart
In your hands
And you always will
For we were meant to be

Together forever
We will be
I love you
And you love me

I wrote this last night after me and my fiance' finished talking...I haven't showed it to him yet, I'd like ya'lls opinion first

kinda nervous about showing it to him.. he's never seen any of my poetry..not even the ones about him!

"For every beauty, there is an eye somewhere to see it.
For every truth, there is an ear somewhere to hear it
For every love, there is a heart somewhere to receive it".--Ivan Panin

Sweetcollege_girl, of course you should show it to him. It's an expression of your feelings for him. It's quite sweet. I wouldn't overwhelm him with too many at once, but every once in a while break one out and read it to him.   -SEA

Of course you should show him!  It's a wonderful poem, showing him your true feelings.  But, like SEA said, don't show him too many at once, it may get overwhelming.  You know, last night I finally took the risk to show my poem, "More Than Friends?" to the guy I wrote it for.  Now we're closer than we were before...

are ya'll engaged though..not that it matters, but I kind of feel weird showing other people my poetry...especially ones about them...if you know what I mean (kristi) But I will try..

Who better to share your poetry with than the man you're going to share your life with? *S* Nothing makes a person feel quite as good as knowing they've made some they love happy... and your poem is an excellent statement of your happiness... show it to him... or as SEA suggested, read it to him! *S*

scg: this is lovely   i'm so very happy for you and your fiance... i'm sure you'll be very happy together...

sincerely,

As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
